Set up your account
Four steps from signing up to taking your first payment.
Your payment page
The page customers open, and what they see on it.
Credit and fees
What collecting costs, and how you pay for it.
How a payment works
What happens between pressing pay and money arriving.
What you will do
1
Create a Paynecta login
One login, for you. It can own several businesses, so you never sign up
twice.
2
Add your business
The name customers will recognise, the type of business it is, and who is
behind it.
3
Get verified
Identity documents for the people who own or direct the business. A
reviewer looks at them, usually within one business day.
4
Say where money lands, and buy credit
A bank account, a paybill or a till. Then top up, because our fee comes
out of a balance you hold.
What it costs
1% a payment
Of each payment you collect, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.
Only on success
A cancelled prompt or one nobody answers carries no percentage fee.
From your credit
Taken from a balance you top up, not deducted from the payment.
What Paynecta is not
Collections settle to you, not into a Paynecta balance
Collections settle to you, not into a Paynecta balance
Money you collect goes to the destination you nominate rather than sitting
with us waiting to be withdrawn. You do hold a credit balance with us, but it is not your takings: it is
what our fee is charged against. See
Credit and fees.
It is not one login per business
It is not one login per business
A person has one Paynecta login. Businesses are things that login can own
or be a member of. If a colleague adds you to their company, you sign in
with the account you already have.
It is not usable before verification
It is not usable before verification
An unverified account cannot take a payment at all. This is not a limit we
raise later; it is the condition for collecting.
A payer's number is never supplied by anyone else
A payer's number is never supplied by anyone else
Not by you, not by our API. The customer types their number on the payment
page and proves it with a code. See
Keeping payments honest.
